COATHAM was established in 1960, with a Rough Collie.
However, since 1968, St Bernards have been the main love of proud owners MAUREEN and GEORGE GWILLIAM for over 40 years.
Their record speaks for itself with several champions being bred from the COATHAM line. George and Maureen Gwilliam are both championship show judges with lots of experience and have both judged at Crufts.
COATHAM have quality progeny with good temperament, soundness and type. Dogs are tested for HD.

Maureen and George have written a book The New Saint Bernard published in 2000. Both of them Judge internationally and have judged best in show and various breeds at open shows both in the UK and the Republic of Ireland
Coatham has the proud record of being instrumental in the success of several notable kennels including Meadowmead,Timeside, Burnswark,Wyandra and Shamrabern. These kennels either started with Coatham Stock or used Coatham stock in their breeding lines. We consider this to be a proud achievements these kennels bred champions and some kennels are still active in the show ring.

Over the years we have exported to a wide variety of international destinations Turkey,Holland, New Zealand , Australia, Poland and Jamaica in all case where our stock has been shown they have gone on to attain their titles the most recent success being Polish champion Ch Coatham Smooth Diplomat.
